More than 200 people kicked up their heels at the inaugural Motor Neurone Ball held at the Warrnambool College Hall on Saturday night.

Organiser Sarah Dunn said the total amount raised would be revised pending a final count this week, estimating it was around $15,000.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with that,” she said
“It was a wonderful night. We had a lot of positive feedback when everyone was leaving," she said.
“I think it was something a bit different being a masquerade ball,” she added.
A signed Sydney Swans guernsey raised $420 and a signed print of Hawthorn footballer Luke Hodge was auctioned for $400. A Melbourne accommodation package was also popular.
A video message from Neale Daniher demonstrated the disease’s impact.
“I lost my dad to MND so it’s very close to my heart. No words can describe how grateful and thrilled I was. It was an emotional evening,” she said.
