Past players, officials, sponsors and directors all came together for the reunion which saw Ron Blackney, a founding director, take home the coveted raffle prize.

Kerrie Sobey said it was great to see so many people come together to celebrate how far the two teams had progressed.

"We had about 80 people turn up and the atmosphere was just electric," she said.

"Memorabilia and snippets of games from the last 21 years played in the background so people could reminisce."

From program guides to "style of play" examples, everything came out of storage for the special night.

Sobey said it was a "rare opportunity" to get many past affiliates together.

"A lot of people hadn't seen each other in a very long time so it was a magnificent opportunity to get back and catch up," she said.

Sobey said planning would now being for a 25th anniversary celebration.
