Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run that left a 17-year-old cyclist with a broken wrist.

Warrnambool police Leading Senior Constable Roland Lawrence said the incident occurred about 6.35pm on Monday at the intersection of Warrnambool's Banyan Street and Darling Street.
"A vehicle described as a white utility struck a cyclist and sped off without stopping to render assistance," he said.

"The 17-year-old rider suffered moderate injuries including a broken wrist."
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the collision about 6.50pm.
"A teenager was taken to South West Healthcare in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries," she said.
