The public rally, organised by The Victorian Marine Animal Defence Conservation Society, will highlight the danger the waste poses to beach users, marine life and the environment
It will be held at the Port Fairy Lifesaving Club on Sunday at noon.
VMAD president James Brown encouraged Port Fairy residents to voice concerns about the tip’s hazardous material.
Greens candidate Thomas Campbell and independents Roy Reekie and Michael McCluskey and the Animal Justice Party’s Jen Gamble will attend.
“Sunday is one way I think we can (voice our opinions) and I’m very happy to support it and to be one of the voices in the crowd,” Mr Reekie said.
