Technicians yesterday afternoon were down to the last 300 landlines for Warrnambool properties.
An earlier target of last weekend was missed because of the complexity of manually rewiring links destroyed by fire in the Warrnambool central exchange.
Telstra spokesman James Howe told The Standard yesterday “we are on the final 300 and hope to have it wrapped up by mid-week”.
“We are also working on fixing individual faults at properties in and outside of Warrnambool.
“If people have issues with their service still not working properly they should call the helpline on 1800 171 355.”
