SOUTH-west towns are beginning to get back online as Telstra technicians start shifting their focus to restoring Internet services.

Technicians continued working around the clock overnight to restore landline and Internet services, making significant progress, with landline services restored to 58,342 customers.
According to Telstra's latest statement, towns connected overnight include Camperdown, Willatook, Yambuk, Branxholme, Caramut, Ecklin, Glenthompson, Hexham, Ellerslie, Killarney and Woorndoo.
Customers are also back online in Portland, Hamilton, Port Campbell, Bridgewater and Vasey, with technicians restoring Internet services to 39 per cent of customers.
The Telstra spokesman said mobile phone coverage had been restored for all customers throughout the region for both voice and data services.
"A team of more than 50 technicians are on site carrying out repairs, working across two 12 hour shifts to get services restored as quickly as possible," he said.
"The focus today for technicians will continue to be restoring landline and internet services."
