BILLIE-JEAN Wagstaff reveals she has been likened to a terrier on the netball court.The Timboon Demons goal defence uses an aggressive attack on the ball to offset her lack of height, explaining she is regularly pitted against taller opponents.Wagstaff's "hard at it" approach and ability to read opposition attacking plays have become trademarks of her 199 games with the Timboon Demons.On Saturday she joins Carolyne Rylance in the 200 club when the Demons B grade team hosts Old Collegians.Wagstaff, 30, said she started playing with Timboon as a 14-year-old in the former Heytesbury-Mount Noorat Football Netball League.She explained her uncle Stephen McKenzie played football for the club.Her brother Ronald also represented the Demons on the footy field and her sister Sherie plays netball alongside her in the B grade line-up."It's just a great place to be," Wagstaff said. "All your friends are there and everyone looks out for everyone."The netball veteran, who married Demons ruckman Klint Wagstaff on the Timboon oval in February, is also conscious of the family-friendly environment at her club. She has a daughter Zoe, 10, and son Cody, seven.Billie-Jean Wagstaff's netball ability is highlighted by a swag of club best and fairests, a league best and fairest and runner-up.Club manager Leanne Whitehead said Wagstaff was on the Demons social committee and a willing worker off the court."She's a good club person," Whitehead said."Both her and Klint live by the club. "They attend all the functions and get themselves involved."
