NORTH Warrnambool Eagles will step into uncharted fashion territory when it unveils an away strip this Saturday against Port Fairy.Eagles football operations manager Justin Justin said a clash of jumpers with Warrnambool and Port Fairy prompted the club to spend about $6000 on the new uniforms."The idea behind it was to bring more professionalism into the club and the league because we had a clash of jumpers with a couple of sides," he said."It's also another chance to get a major sponsor in Tom Smith Excavations on board. We're very happy with the way it's all turned out."Justin said the club had talks with Sherwood Knitting Mills and Ventou garment technology in Mel-bourne before agreeing on an away design."It suits us and removes that jumper clash issue. It's predominantly a white jumper with a dark navy blue eagle, very similar to the Carlton away jumper," he said."Now we just need a win to christen the jumper properly. The boys look OK after a solid pre-season and we've had some good practice matches."The Eagles meet Port Fairy on Saturday at Gardens Oval in one of the highlights of the opening round of the Hampden league season.
